The cover of The Stranger this week made me smile.

Now, this isn't to say that I think that no one who doesn't live ins a city is instantly an unthinking hick. I know that isn't true. Some of those people are family. Some of those people are good, good friends. This cover, however, does make me smile and helps me remember that there is a reason I live in this city. That there is a reason that I prefer living in cities. Ideally I'd live in a forest fo my very own about 20 minutes away from downtown. I have to go a bit further out than that but... I don't mind living in the city. I can always drive out to the trees. They aren't that far.

Anyway. I feel a little better about things. It helps me feel better until I can get some money. Completely making my Christmas list today, too.

Happy Friday!

I'm with you on the seperatists issue. Since I'm outvoted though, I'll take the Stranger suggestion of telling the "coutry," areas of the country to get off our collective urban dole, get the fuck out of our politics, take that Old Testiment asshole of a deity with you, and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

BTW, ideally I'd love to see a BC to California/Mexco border Cascadia, but I'll take any combo that gets us our sovergienty and away from the rednecks trying to take it away (and living off my tax money to boot). Where would you put the borders and why?
