Hey there all you loyal readers. A special hello to those of you reading avidly and unable to return comment for whatever reason. I'm sure I'll get comments back in a round about sort of way, if needed. My parents text message me and there are some people I talk to on MUSHes... It's all good in the end.

Work is fun. Really. I keep on thinking that I'm forgetting something very important but I haven't been able to rememeber anything. So, either I'm just freaking myself out or whatever it is, is well and truly forgotten.

I need more sleep. I just need to get to bed earlier. It is so hard to climb out of bed in the mornings. Arg.

I need music. Maybe that will help.

And Oh My God, is Queen of Wands funny today.
Christian Bale has added definate bulk for his Batman role. I haven't found a good pictures of it yet but it is obvious to me, looking at him.

U2 is doing a song called "Sky Hawk" for "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow".

American Pie series and Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Alyson Hannigan will star in NBC's untitled Matt Tarses/Bill Wrubel comedy pilot. The project revolves around the relationship between a brother and his sister who haven't spoken in 18 months.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is looking for a distributor.

Producer Walter Parkes says Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events will release on December 17.

If the Sunday Mail in Scotland is to be believed, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be the most expensive movie ever made, with a budget of 303 million dollars.

Comic books in April look really good. A full Golden Age Black Canary cover. Batman and Wonder Woman written by Greg Rucka. Batgirl and Poison Ivy. The only thing DC that scares me is Claremont. The JLA vs a magical vampire cult? What?!?! Arg. *stab stab stab*

Even though its not out in the cinemas yet, New Line has spent a lot of time developing The Butterfly Effect - so much so that the DVD looks like it will have tons of specials, including a directors cut with a special ending.

Episode III stuff here. Bits of spoilers. I gave up avoiding spoilers when I accidentally read the big one. So... Yeah. I know what happens. If they can get a PG rating on this, I'll be surprised.
It's a decent quiz, really. Lots of possibilities.
I don't mind this answer at all. )

Me too.

Dear President Bush,

I would like to thank you personally for helping me with my workout this evening. I thought you made some good points in places. I want to know how you will accomplish the things that you promised but that's okay. I'm sure we'll all hear about that later. More Pell grants for higher students who challenge themselves and helping fund higher education is great.

When you talked about your faith based initiatives and changing the Constitution to ban gay marriage however, you helped much more. I have no problem with churches and the role of faith in the community. I get a little leary of putting religion and politics together. It walks a line that we specifically tried to avoid when founding this country on those values you liked to mention so many times this evening. Saying that the will of the people is to ban gay marriage consitutionally, to protect it from 'arbitrary' decisions by judges caused my heart rate to increase and me to go much much faster on the elliptical machine. The sanctity of marriage cannot be ruined by people who love each other respecting and re-enforcing it. It is things like Who Wants To Marry A Millionare and The Bachelor which are ruining the sanctity of marriage. (Though it had to be gone for some time for those programs to reach the air in the first place.)

By the way, No Child Left Behind is a lovely idea but it doesn't work unless you do it correctly. Also, drug testing in schools is a horrible idea. And while funding programs that teach abstinence is a great thing, I would also like it if you taught safe sex as well for those kids who are going to be doing it no matter what you teach them.

Anyway... I'm going to go do something else now.

Cordially yours,
Katrina M. Lehto
