Dec. 29th, 2003

My alarm scared the hell out of me this morning. I knew it was going to go off way too early this morning when I went to sleep but it still went off way, way, way too early. I woke up so shocked I'm surprised I didn't yelp. The radio helped me out by playing good music to help me out of bed. I wasn't paying attention really to what I was doing this morning and it was obvious by some of the choices I made this morning. Yeesh. I was not clear minded at all.

D&D was excellent yesterday. I am looking forward to Gatekeepers this evening.

Watch out on the roads people. It was pretty slick in places when I was walking out to the bus stop this morning. There was a healthy coat of frost and ice.

I need some coffee. More sleep would be nice, but I'll take what I can get.
Very interesting indeed. I got an e-mail from the American Family Association guys, since I voted on their gay marriage thing.

Dear Katrina,

Participation in America’s Poll on Homosexual Marriage at marriagepoll.com continues at a steady pace. As of noon Saturday, December 28, the results were as follows:

I oppose legalization of homosexual marriage and “civil unions” total votes: 201914

I favor legalization of homosexual marriage total votes: 378691

I favor a “civil union” with the full benefits of marriage except for the name: 52238

If you have not already voted, click here to do so. Be sure to forward the poll on to your family and friends.

Only votes that have a valid email address associated with them will be counted. We will be purging those with invalid email addresses, which may cause poll results to change somewhat.

Sincerely,

Don

Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman
American Family Association

P.S. Please forward this email to at least one friend.

Consider it forwarded.
Since I have some time while programs are running...

More news about Roy Disney and his fight to save Disney from never being able to mean anything good again. I, for one, am cheering Roy Disney on.

Here is a good review of Peter Pan. A lot of people have been giving it bad reviews because they're not comfortable with the hints of sex in it. Bah, I say. Go read the book and tell me it wasn't there.

The Muppet Wizard of Oz is coming... to TV unforunately but it is coming. They're still looking for a Dorothy but Natalie Portman is high up on the list.

The rumors are that Peter Jackson's final DVD cut of Return of the King will be somewhere around five hours long. From all of the things I've seen that we know have been cut, that doesn't sound impossible.

There is a work print of Man-Thing being shown around. Apparently it is a quality movie, definately creepy. Never been a big Man-Thing fan, myself, but I'm willing to support the genre and give it a chance.

Kill Bill could move from February to April. It looks like a very slow start so far to 2004 movie wise.

There are tons of little things about a lot of comic books movies. Let's just say Silver Surfer and Fantastic Four are moving ahead.

Return of the King has now taken in $492.1 million dollars worldwide in two weeks. Go see it again. Maybe it can take the top spot of all time from Titanic. (1.8 billion worldwide.)
This is stolen from Torquemada. Congrats. You're royalty. Or you should be.

Also, for the party, we have plenty of vodka. Lots. I would appreciate people bringing something other than vodka if you are going to bring something. (I, personally, would appreciate some rum. 151, preferably.) Do not feel that you have to bring anything at all. I'm just saying if you do bring alcohol, don't bring vodka.
This has no importance in the real world at all.
You've been warned. )

I hate messing things up at work.

*sighs*

Well, I'm sure that will just make tomorrow that much more interesting for me.

Wheee.
