Very interesting indeed. I got an e-mail from the American Family Association guys, since I voted on their gay marriage thing.

Dear Katrina,

Participation in America’s Poll on Homosexual Marriage at marriagepoll.com continues at a steady pace. As of noon Saturday, December 28, the results were as follows:

I oppose legalization of homosexual marriage and “civil unions” total votes: 201914

I favor legalization of homosexual marriage total votes: 378691

I favor a “civil union” with the full benefits of marriage except for the name: 52238

I've got a hunch the real reason for that poll is to find the e-mails of like-minded individuals and add them to their list of action-alert recipients.

Possibly. Here I was hoping that they would try to show it to Congress no matter what the results were.

Even if they did, Congress doesn't give a crap. People who already agree with the majority of the poll will use it as another piece of paper; those who disagree will ignore it.
