So, Fox let go of Bryan Singer to go do Superman. This left X-men 3 high and dry and seemed... a little odd for a movie they've been advertising already. It seems... that they might have had another director in mind. One that is currently writing an X-men comic book. One that has a film that will be done with principal photography in like a week. And he's someone that the folks at Marvel have wanted for a movie for awhile.
Joss Whedon.
It's something to think about.
I think he'd do a wonderful Phoenix Saga. Don't you? Just the right mix of tragedy and hope... and Joss /wants/ to do it.
People at Marvel? People at Fox? Hook this up!
Anyway. Mission Impossible 3 looks to be on hold so Tom Cruise can do War of the Worlds with Steven Spielberg.
Leo DiCaprio's next movie is going to be set in the '30s and with gangsters. I think that's a good move for him...
