Jeff Matsuda announced on his web site that he is the art director of The Batman. Matsuda, who worked as a comic-book artist at all of the major publishers, recently worked on The Jackie Chan Adventures for Sony Television. He's listed in the opening credits for his character designs. (I /knew/ I knew that art.)

According to Variety, X2 screenwriters Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty and X-Men franchise director Bryan Singer will be writing a year's worth of Ultimate X-Men comics.

Early reviews on Hidalgo are a mixed bag. People are saying that Viggo seems to be kind of stuck in Aragorn mode and that the script is not the best. That and it isn't actually based on a true story at all. Seems like it is based on one of the stories of one of the greatest con men of all time. Interesting stuff.

Oh dear. Are you afraid of the Constantine movie? This will definately make you even less happy. Wheeeee, Preacher script review. There is good news for other stuff at the end, though.

I might have to start picking up JSA. Or maybe reading Jeff's copies. And a few Green Lantern things. Man. Well, thank goodness for TPBs.

I mentioned that was greenlit the other day. At least, I think I did.

I also didn't mention the Star Wars DVDs on the 21st since I though everyone would know about that.

Oh, that's right. You said that on Saturday. I just spaced. If I don't see it in your LJ , IT'S NOT REAL!

That interview there gives me a lot of hope - taking the good episodes from the original series and remaking them. A new version of "Living Legend," excellent. And no chance of a new version of "The Young Lords."

Still not enough Centurions, though.

Oooooooh. Noe real! It's not the really, real world, man.

Well, I'll take your word for it. I was never a fan in the begining and the new series was okay but I didn't think it was specatular.

Remind me if you want to read JSA... I just found the final hole in my collection while running around with crispengrey yesterday, so I have unbroken #1 to current. Now I just need the last two issues of Hawkman since it crosses over.

Keen. I'll be fine on picking up in the most recent thread, at least to start.

The most recent thread crosses over twice with Hawkman, so unless you have those, you might want to start a little earlier until I manage to pick those up.

I can probably pick them up on Friday, if I remember. I was thinking about it anyway, so...

If they get rid of Eisner or minimize the damage he can do, I can't see it as a bad thing.

Actually, Eisner's two main rivals seem to be currently uniting to DESTROY him*... so that's also a good thing.

*according to a blurb I overheard today on NPR

Oh, I know. You should go visit www.savedisney.com and look at the things there.

That's why this bid has been forwarded now. Eisner and Disney look weak right now.
