More of your entertainment buck...
Feb. 10th, 2004 11:15 amJeff Matsuda announced on his web site that he is the art director of The Batman. Matsuda, who worked as a comic-book artist at all of the major publishers, recently worked on The Jackie Chan Adventures for Sony Television. He's listed in the opening credits for his character designs. (I /knew/ I knew that art.)
According to Variety, X2 screenwriters Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty and X-Men franchise director Bryan Singer will be writing a year's worth of Ultimate X-Men comics.
Early reviews on Hidalgo are a mixed bag. People are saying that Viggo seems to be kind of stuck in Aragorn mode and that the script is not the best. That and it isn't actually based on a true story at all. Seems like it is based on one of the stories of one of the greatest con men of all time. Interesting stuff.
Oh dear. Are you afraid of the Constantine movie? This will definately make you even less happy. Wheeeee, Preacher script review. There is good news for other stuff at the end, though.
I might have to start picking up JSA. Or maybe reading Jeff's copies. And a few Green Lantern things. Man. Well, thank goodness for TPBs.

Date: 2004-02-10 01:29 pm (UTC)I also didn't mention the Star Wars DVDs on the 21st since I though everyone would know about that.

Date: 2004-02-10 01:34 pm (UTC)That interview there gives me a lot of hope - taking the good episodes from the original series and remaking them. A new version of "Living Legend," excellent. And no chance of a new version of "The Young Lords."
Still not enough Centurions, though.

Date: 2004-02-11 10:42 am (UTC)Actually, Eisner's two main rivals seem to be currently uniting to DESTROY him*... so that's also a good thing.
*according to a blurb I overheard today on NPR
