When I was younger there was this obsessive part of my mind that stayed up late at night and plagued me with questions. This part of my mind also would decide from time to time that there was something I had to do - RIGHT NOW.

It has been a long time since this has stopped me from getting sleep. Last night it kicked in and it is happening tonight as well.

I never obsess about anything really important. I just obsess about what I'm thinking about when I lay down to go to sleep. Sometimes it does work if I think about sleep.

*sighs*

I have to figure out how to channel this again. It is an excellent source of getting things done - when I don't end up fixated on something of no importance what so ever.

Ugh.

I think I have appeased the demon for the moment.

Who is nightwing about to cap in that picture? That looks almost like Robin's cape.

Robin's in the window. That is the cover to Batgirl #29 (http://comics.toonzone.net/solicitations/2002-06/batman/batgirl29.jpg)

Hey there. I was reading through my friendsfriends list and came across your entry. I am/have-been exactly the same way since childhood. I'll have some spurts when I go months without those 'worries' cropping up, and then I'll go months where I can't make them go away. *sigh*

I've added you as a friend, I hope you don't mind. Seems we have some interests & communities in common!

Welcome. It's been years since anything ike this has crept up on me. I'm not all that thrilled about it. I'm really not so thriled.

I dunno if it will help, but, whenever it happens to me, I'll go to Blockbuster and rent like 394287 videos to watch to get my mind off of things. I actually used to use the FotR dvd to help put me to sleep. It would relax me and put my mind on middle earth, rather than on my troubles and anxiousness. *shrugs*

That might actually work. I used to just put something on, almost any noise would work, though tv noise, movies, shows, would work best.

Thanks for reminding me.

Maybe part of your afternoon/evening routine should be choosing a topic to work on.

Possibly. I'm not sure if that would work but it might.

There is typically something that I need to do to get it to stop. I just have to figure out what that is.
