Wow. Moving my arms... it's spectacular. I can get endorphins off of it, I'm sure. Last night was hard and I'm glad I did it but it was really rough. Of course the work out in itself was enough but I had to go to minutes on the elliptical. So, me staggering home is my own damned fault, really.

I did killer situps and crunches. That is sore too but no matter how hard I push myself with those sorts of things my abs rebound faster than just about any other muscles in my body.

My manager's grandfather passed away so he won't be in for the rest of the week, maybe longer. I don't know what sort of craziness this will cause around here but I don't know if I'll be able to get out of here in time to get to the gym even remotely on time for my session this evening.

I'm thinking about rescheduling. That makes me feel guilty, though.

Ugh.

Better to reschedule for a time when you KNOW you can make it for than feel guilty about missing the session.

True.... Very true.

Or can you leave work for your workout and then return to work if there's an emergency going on?

That would take far too long. It takes like 45 minutes to get out there. It's a great idea, just not all that feasible.

Oh, well, drat. I guess I'd decided your gym was mere minutes away from work, maybe. :)

But your working out is inspiring to me! I've gone back to the gym this week!

Nah. As opposed to close to work it's close to home. I tried the close to work thing before and it never worked. Close to home is working better.

I just got back on the stick myself. I found going to the gym was the hard part. I finally ran out of excuses. That, and seeing that you started helped me do it.

The burn is good, huh?

Yeah. Going is the hard part. I end up making commitments to myself about it.

To avoid chickening out last night, I put on my work out clothes before I left work. It helped. I dunno why. Now I'm ready to go back.

It's just as much about mental conditioning as physical. I don't think I'll make the session tonight but I'll go this weekend and do like an hour of elliptical.

Cool. I gotta get in condition enough to start doing stuff other than the treadmill. I feel so like the pathetic flabby little girly man!

Keep it up! Like I said, seeing you starting your workout got me back on the stick, so thank you!

Thanks. It's nice to know that I can be an inspiration, even as out of shape as I am.
