Entertainment things...
Nov. 14th, 2003 09:43 am(I know I'm posting a lot this morning. So much good stuff.)
From Ain't It Cool about Farscape: "According to a Wednesday TV Guide Online report, Rockne S. O'Bannon and Brian Henson were supposed to have participated in a Thursday press conference to "announce an exciting new development in the campaign to continue Farscape," but that press conference apparently did not transpire.
Much of the show’s cast and crew are expected to attend a big “Farscape” convention here in Los Angeles this weekend, so we’ll likely be hearing something soon."
Wizard News reports that their sources inside Warner Brothers are claiming the studio is looking into the possibility of making Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire into one movie, four hours long, with an intermission. (I've heard that more than once now. I would love that.)
Fantastic Four promo sheet! I like it.
Luc Besson says he is working on a sequel to "The Professional" which would be about Mathilda, he's also rumoured to be adapting Rene Barjavel's novel "The Ice People".
According to Variety: "A theatrical motion picture based on the life of 17th century scientist Galileo Galilei is being developed by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Spitfire Pictures."
There is Highlander 5 news but honestly... It's depressing. I'm not repeating it. Nothing having to do with Highlander should talk about 'their world' or the Holy Grail.
On the strength of Namco Hometek's new vid-game release "Spawn: Armageddon", Todd McFarlane has apparently indicated a new "Spawn" theatrical feature will be produced towards the end of 2004.....
"Disney has just dropped mid-six figures to pick up an original concept from writer Sid Quashie, who will now write the script as a live-action epic feature. The story is based on the earliest Greek myths of how the young god Zeus discovered that his destiny was to overthrow his father, the evil Titan Cronus, and become ruler of the world."
MGM has decided to buy the rights to a series of films spoofing Harry Potter. *sigh*
Intermedia Films has hired Adam and Melanie Wilson to adapt Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen, with ice skater Katarina Witt attached to star.
