An awesome Nightcrawler picture. There is a link to more pictures here, but there are tons that are spoilers. SPOILERS! I like Magneto's black. Very severe and appropriate. And Rogue in green. *grins*

The images coming from Tomb Raider 2 are looking pretty. Of course, the first movie was /pretty/. What does it mean, really? I'll probably still go see it. I can't really resist Angelina.

Joel Silver is begining to hype the Matrix movies. He's saying things like, "after this, movies will never be made the same way again" and The bar has been raised so high that... there is no bar". (Ha ha ha.... Erg.) So, smoking crack or correct? Wait until May.

Tons and tons and tons of rumors about plot for an Elektra movie. Nothing that's possible at the moment since rights for some to the characters they'd want to use are tied up in development hell.

According to Variety, French helmer Jean-Jacques Annaud has come on board to direct Shores of Tripoli for Disney and producer Gale Anne Hurd. The film, being rewritten by John Collee (Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World), is based on a spec script Disney originally bought for Hurd in 1996. "Shores" tells the story of William Eaton, a U.S. Army officer assigned to Tunis in 1797 who argued against the U.S. government paying ransom to any of the Barbary Coast countries for safe passage through international waters. He ultimately was banished from the region, but returned several years after that and managed to persuade the government to back his military plan to restore the ousted rightful ruler of Tripoli.

Seeing things like 'makeup tests' for Ghost Rider, but I'm not posting them. I can't believe that what I saw would be anywhere near a final product and it looks... well.. kind of silly at best.

And... Ummmm... I love Stan Lee, but... - Reality veteran Bruce Nash ("Meet My Folks") has teamed with comic book king Stan Lee to search for the next big superhero, reports Variety. The mild-mannered duo will be pitching a fantasy-meets-reality show to the networks. Project will begin with an open call for contestants who have created their own idea for a superhero. Dressed as their creation, participants will be judged by a panel of celebs who have played heroes in the past (think Lynda Carter). Semifinalists, under the guidance of Lee, will then get to see their creation come to life as their costumed creations are professionally designed via a "superhero makeover." The remaining contestants will then be thrown into classic superhero situations (save the damsel in distress!). "We'll put them in scenarios that will be right out of the pages of comic books," Nash said. "We'll try to put obstacles in their paths and exploit their weaknesses." Nash said he and Lee will scout for both male and female superheroes, and may also put out a call for supervillains.

And having read an interview with Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) I feel a little better about the Rogue and Bobby thing. No. I'm not telling why. If you want the spoilers, go and read for yourself.

I'm thinking I might have to start picking up Exiles. It fascinates me as a concept and I'll have to ask people if it is worth the time. They're changing arists and I'm liking the new art.

I'm getting John Wick flashbacks. "The Bar Has Been Raised, Ryan Dancey!" Hahahahahahahaha.

Of course, most of the civilized world (and much of the uncivilized world) won't get that joke.

*grin* Yeah, I know. I said to myself, "It's okay! You can go look at all the links from Lithera's journal in just a few weeks, AFTER you've seen the movie!"

Then I chewed on the woodwork some more. *laugh* And meanwhile I'm also distracting myself with a countdown of How Many Days It Is Until I Can Finish Properly Putting the Rogue Stripe Into My Hair. :)

I thought about putting a white stripe in my hair, beacuse I've always wanted silver/white hair, but my hair doesn't bleach out worth a damn. I've tried. I think it would look awesome, but I'm not so sure I want to do it right now or how I would go about it.

I can get you not spoilery picture links...

Oh, you're just so cool. Now I'm grinning stupidly at Rogue pictures. I am SUCH a geek.

The way to achieve a Rogue stripe (I, too, have always thought silver/white hair would be very cool, and the 'grey' hairs I'm getting are in fact white, but they're on the wrong part of my head for a Rogue stripe!) is like this:

1. Bleach the front bit of your hair. Don't bother over-bleaching, because that way lies melted hair (trust me on this; I have pictures). Just do maybe 25 minutes with some extra-blonde bleach stuff (assuming you have dark hair). Follow the instructions and don't bleach your roots right away, but wait til the last 10 minutes to do the roots.

2. Run around with a goldy-yellow stripe for a few weeks. Give your hair time to stop panicking from the bleach.

3. Dye the goldy-yellow stripe blue. You may or may not want to re-do your roots first, depending on how fast your hair grows.

4. Run around with a blue stripe for a couple of weeks.

5. Re-bleach the blue to blonde/white.

Having done this the wrong way, which is to keep bleach on my hair for way too long (the end result of which was shaving my head because my hair did in fact melt), I'm now actually experimenting with the five step process listed above. However, since I've got a friend who has blue hair and who has observed the blue-to-white transition during bleaching, I'm pretty sure this'll be a successful venture. I'll let you know around April 30, if you're interested. :)

Excellent. I would love to know how this works out for you. If it goes well, I might give it a try. My hair doesn't bleach worth anything. I end up with platinum roots and red/black everything else. If it works well, I'll give it a try. If not, I'll maybe ask a professional how they would do it.

I love Rogue. Love. I never thought I'd play a Cannon character anywhere, let alone on a superhero MUSH at all, but... Yeesh.

I'll let you know. I spent several years trying to figure out how to do a Rogue stripe, and finally figured it out a few weeks before they released Anna-as-Rogue-with-stripe pictures before X-Men. I was *incredibly* smug about it. The week after the movie opened, one of my coworkers said to me, "Oh my god! You've had Rogue hair for weeks and I never even realized!" Then I was /extra/ smug. :) (Also, random strangers who were X-Men fans commented on it, which was just totally cool!)

Aheh. I, uh. Actually started the first X-Men MUSH on the net, in early 1994. We called it Classic X, and I played Rogue. It died a very horrible death due to administrative problems, and I've had this irrational sullenness about X MUSHes ever since.

Hm. No, the irrational sullenness seems to have faded. Gosh. I guess it only takes almost a decade of perspective. *laugh* Where's the MU* you're playing at? Maybe I'll check it out. :)

That's the website. Feel free to look around. It's a nice place, lots of fun, lots of nice people.

Well, I always wanted white/silver hair. I wouldn't be doing a Rogue thing so much as making white stripes in my hair, which I think would be really neat. *grins*

I understand your worries. I love Nightcrawler, but I'm okay with what they're doing. Let me know how you feel about it after you see it.

At least they're making their changes consistent. IE, the same kinds of changes they made to Mystique, they've made to Nightcrawler. I'm a little worried about the whole thing, too, but at this point, having not seen the movie, I'm sort of tentatively accepting. They've *changed* people, so far, but they haven't actually screwed anything up. It's just clearly not the same Marvelverse from the comics. :)
