Looks like the Premiere of Hellboy 2? How about the after party? http://www.lafilmfest.com/tixSYS/2008/filmguide/eventnote.php?EventNumber=7076&site=1B22F8A6CE3F Go take a look at that.

Here is an extended clip from Wall-E. (This movie is going to kill me with cute.)

Here is a cool article with Terrance Howard about playing an airman. Also, the Air Force is apparently jealous of all of the movie business that the Navy gets and is trying to work in more movies. "Hey! We have cool toys too!" Also in there is word that Iron Man 2 will start filming next March, which would put it nicely on track for a 2010 release date.

Leonardo DiCaprio is going to be in a movie about Atari.

Harrison Ford is next going to be in a movie called Crowley which is /actually/ about a doctor and his wife trying to find a cure for a disease, which is much less strange than what I thought when I first saw it.

I need a Wall-E icon.
There is a chance for you to get in on some of the action right now. Go to www.gothamelectionboard.com and register to vote. Lots of interesting things to vote on.

Voting is over on the 12th and results will be posted on the 13th. Interesting. Also interesting is the phones distributed to people through other viral marketing activities have they've gotten text messages on them. As reported by the guys at Superherohype.com, the first message from Humanresources@whysoserious.com reportedly reads "Clowns, are you ready for some laughs? (y/n)". When the person responded with an affirmative, they received "You put a smile on my face. Hope you're not superstitious."

So, I'm guess there will be things a happening on Friday.

Too bad I'm going to be on a plane.

Curses!
"It’s been five weeks since the one and only phone call my reps have gotten from Marvel. I know their hands are full with the Hulk and I’m sure they will get into it shortly, as they tell me they intend to. I ran into the Marvel guys at the Hulk premiere and everyone sounded eager to get to work on IM2.

I am concerned, however, about the announced release date of April 2010. Neither Robert nor I were consulted about this and we are both concerned about how realistic the date is in light of the fact that we have no script, story or even writers hired yet. This genre of movie is best when it is done thoughtfully and with plenty of preparation. It might be better to follow the BB/DK, X/X2 three year release pattern than to scramble for a date. It is difficult because there are no Marvel 09 releases and they need product, but I also think we owe it to the fans to have a great version of IM2 and, at this point, we would have less time to make it than the first one."

He took two years to make the first one and doesn't want to speed through the second one. I can respect that, even if I do feel a little impatient about it. Still, I'd rather they be awesome.
