Movie weekend.
Nov. 21st, 2007 10:59 amSo. In the hopes of a lighter note...
I was thinking that ENCHANTED would be a horrible thing. The things about Disney that make me roll my eyes. But I've seen some interesting reviews of it and I'm willing to give it a try.
Also coming out this weekend is something on the opposite end of the spectrum in THE MIST. Which I also desperately want to see.
I'M NOT THERE is coming out with Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Richard Gere, Ben Whisha, Marcus Carl Franklin and CATE BLANCHET playing Bob Dylan. I want to see this. I want to see Christian Bale sing again. (Though I admit both Cate Blanchett and Christian Bale could probably sell me pretty much anything these days and I'd buy it.)
I could probably be convinced into watching Hitman. Maybe.

Nov. 21st, 2007 02:23 pmYou remember what I wrote earlier about buying anything Christian Bale is selling?
I think I'm being tested.
Christian Bale has been cast as John Connor in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, says Ain't It Cool News.
Then again.... That could be pretty freaking awesome.
Damn. I might need to steal a Bale icon. I totally know which one I want too...

So. Christian Bale in the new Terminator movie .... but...
No one seems to be sure if he'll be John Connor, The Terminator OR someone else all together.
Interesting.
The more I think about it, the more I like him in the movie. I /think/ I like him better as the cold and grim rebel leader with a purpose - pragmatic to a fault. But then again, one could say he's already mostly playing that as Batman.
Anyway, here's the other story on it - http://www.chud.com/index.php?type=news&id=12655

For those of you who don't want to click through, China told our carrier group that they couldn't dock in Hong Kong for a four day stay. It has been a long time since that has happened and is likely due to current disputes over trade and Iran.
I figure, as it stands, this isn't a portent of doom. This is China making a point. If, however, other things are added, it becomes bad. Unless, of course, I'm totally wrong. It happens.
Anyone who knows more than I do about this, feel free to chime in.
