For those of you who don't want to click through, China told our carrier group that they couldn't dock in Hong Kong for a four day stay. It has been a long time since that has happened and is likely due to current disputes over trade and Iran.

I figure, as it stands, this isn't a portent of doom. This is China making a point. If, however, other things are added, it becomes bad. Unless, of course, I'm totally wrong. It happens.

Anyone who knows more than I do about this, feel free to chime in.

China is also really mad at us for our economy collapsing; they and a number of other countries' currency is directly tied to the dollar, and they're one of the larger holders of our national debt. China has threatened in the past to dissociate their currency from ours, putting our complete economy at risk, in order to get their way; when they start doing so this time, and they will, expect us to start bending over backwards to please them.
