Rar.

I love this book Kris got me for Christmas. I had to stop reading it on the bus today, though. I've gotten to the parts where things are going very, very badly for Joan. Everytime I saw the word fire on the page I had a visceral reaction to it, so I stopped reading for now.

Beaupere: Do you know if you are in God's grace?
Joan: If I am not, may God bring me to it; if I am, may God keep me in it.

I cannot think she was crazy. She answered the questions presented to her with too much grace, wit and intelligence. They tried to trip her up so many times and they failed in the attempt. They failed so much they had to falsify the evidence and chop up Joan's words.

I think I'll finish reading this soon but ... I guess it is better that I already know how it ends.

Oh!

That totally explains why I startled myself out of almost sleep. Wasn't sure why I bolted awake but I did. Glad to have that explained.

Last night I went through my comic books to get rid of the ones that I will never look at again, I'll never read... Just the ones that are taking up room for the ones that I /do/ care about.

I cleared out a full long box. Like the three or four foot long ones. That's gotta be like... a few hundred comic books. And there are some that I thought about getting rid of but they're just to old to just hand over to be put in random grab bags for kids. I can't do it.

If someone loves me, they'll get my bags and boards for my birthday.

A few years ago clearing that out would have caused a panic attack. I'm obviously in a stage of clearing out junk and cleaning up - in all aspects. It's only causing little twinges in me and I can handle those.

Oh. BTW, Mike, I found some more stuff for David at some point. Maybe I'll save it for birthday?
Van Helsing trailer.

That's in Quicktime. I'll look for non-Quicktime for all of you. But let me just say.... Pretttttyyyyyy. Mmmmmmmm. So far, I like.

Fantastic Four? It will be soon and there are interesting people in the running for the director's chair.
More under here. Goooood stuff. )

Top 25...

ESPN is 25 years old and they're polling to see who the top 25 athletes of that time period are. I can't seem to rank them but people who would have to be on my list are:

Wayne Gretzky
Jackie Joyner-Kersee
Larry Bird
Carl Lewis
Lance Armstrong
Barry Sanders
Michael Jordan
Magic Johnson
Sugar Ray Leonard
Martina Navratilova
Alberto Tomba

If it weren't limited to 25 years I'd have to put Marc Spitz on there.
Here I go.... Off to RustyCon!

Wheeeeeee.
