Last night was good. I went to dinner with Kris, bought the Lord of the Rings Soundtrack, bought the Ultimate Legend DVD and saw Insomnia.

I though Insomnia was really good. The thing is it doesn't pull you into it the way most movies do. I was really starting to feel like I hadn't slept, just like Al Pacino's character. The camera effects help with that a lot and towards the end you can really see where he is just not thinking clearly at all. The Alaskan scenery is amazing and I enjoyed the interaction between Pacino and Williams. It could have been better, as there were times where the interaction seemed to sputter, but all in all I liked it and don't regret paying full price to see it.

I'm buying my airplane tickets today. I'm going to bring my LadyHawke and Legend DVDs down with me as a friend I'm meeting there has never seen LadyHawke and is drooling over the Legend DVD from afar. Have to start thinking about clothes ant the like, what to pack. (Yes, I actually think about these things this far in advance.)

I love this soundtrack. I love it. I find it amazingly evocative.
Oh yeah...

THE WINGS WON!!!!

Wooo. *dances*

Here's the question. Jaguar is sponsering the Stanley Cup Finals on ABC. Where is the connection there? Hockey + Jaguar. Hmmmmm.

I learned something about the Stanley Cup. There are only five rings at one time. When the bottom rung is filled, they take the top one and put it in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Then they put on a new blank one on the bottom.
Thank you Marci and Bjorn for making me look up soon to be published books!!!!

Robert Jordan book 10, Crossroads of Twilight, on November 12th.

I know, I know, those of you who don't like it don't have to say anything. I, however, am still an addict and will likely remain one. Book 9 was pretty damned good. I am still upset about the lameness of 7 and 8, but... Eh.

Matt is obviously on the cover. Not sure about anyone else.
Reading this man's journal is a kick.

Was bitten on the cheek by a spider. Do not appear to be able to climb walls or have any kind of extrasensory abilities yet. So far I've just got a spider bite on my cheek. Seems deeply unfair, really.

Wow.

That was really bright and really close.

I sit facing away from the window and I saw that last flash of lightning.
Anyone read Kathrine Kurtz, Ben Bova or David Gemmell?

BTW, Eric, I have a book for you.
