I'm getting people posting annonymously on old journal entires of mine. I'm deleting them all and logging IP addresses of such things.

I hadn't really wanted to, but it got annoying.

Uh, if they don't have an LJ account, they can't post. That's pretty non-anonymous...

Yes, but you can still choose to be annonymous when you post. I still won't know who they are. I'll have an IP address though.

go ahead and try to be anonymous on mine. It won't (or shouldn't) work. It should be greyed-out as an option...

did you change it yet?

It's not hard. Go to User Info, Edit Info, The the "Who can reply to your entries" option, and make it registered users only.

That disables anonymous posting.
