There is a place on Stone and Northgate that I like very, very, very much. (http://www.29onstone.com/) I'm having the realtor poking into the situation and seeing where things reside on this and how it looks to the bank and so on and so forth. I'm hoping that I can roll the closing costs into the mortgage or find someone who likes me very much to loan me the extra bit I'd likely be short. Stupid closing costs.

And.... now... for other things!

Studio Ghibli is the creation of two people - Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata. Miyazaki is in discussions to create two more films over the next three years. His partner, though, will be making The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. This story is /also/ called The Tale of Princess Kaguya, which has been the source of inspiration for Sailor Moon.

Miley Cyrus will reportedly have a cameo in Sex and the City 2. I wasn't going to see it before and that changes pretty much nothing for me.

The rights to the Terminator franchise are for sale. If you have a few MILLION dollars laying around (like $32 million) they can be yours!

Primeval has been pulled back from the dead for two more seasons. This bodes well for the BBC continuing to be producing TV.

Stephen King has signed on to turn his novella "The Colorado Kid" into an series. It will be titled "Haven" and, unsurprisingly, the project centers on a spooky town in Maine.

Ed Norton says that The Hulk being in The Avengers movie is 'purely a function of time'.

See if the realtor can get the seller to take on some or all of the closing costs. This is a buyer's market for sure.

*nods* These places are selling fast but that is certianly one of the options as well. I'll be exploring how the numbers work out tomorrow, I imagine. I also want to look at the other layouts, as we only got to see the sample one this evening.

And what, missy, are you doing this evening?

Was just telling Kris I woke up with the munchies - that NEVER happens - and am dorking around a bit after having a bit of a snack before going back to bed.

"Townhomes". So basically a condo? It looks cool and the price is right, but condos depreciate like $#!@#!$ crazy. You gonna stay there for a while if you get it?

Townhomes and condos are different, as I've discovered in my looking about. Condos are like apartment, townhomes are like ... duplexes. I'm not planning on buying a place and then running away from it shortly there after, certainly.

OMG! My favorite childhood story ever!

Those townhomes look cute, but I wonder how noisy being on Northgate actually is.

Heeee. Glad to bring you joy.

Yeah. There are some that are not actually on either street, in the middle of the block. And it is Northgate between I-5 and Aurora, closer to Aurora. Traffic noise is a thought, though.

The location looks great.

Though I would be curious about the availability of parking (ratio of units to spots) and I'm a little surprised that I couldn't find a floorplan on the website.

Yeah. There aren't any there, which is frustrating. The parking is one spot to each, mostly, but there is a /ton/ of street parking in the area - or at least there was last night.

We ran into this with our place in bothell.

It looked wide open when we got there, but instead of the 1.5 cars:unit that they budgeted some people had 2-3 (and boy did the parking disappear!) Be aware of the traffic and the amount of parking, esp on evenings/ fri/sat night (given how walkable the place is). Most of the units have garages (from what I'm seeing) and that extra spot or two makes a big difference.

(...not that I need to tell you that, given your current location =P )

*nods* Walkability was high on my list on thoughts. We're walkable to Oak Tree and there is a bus stop for the 5 and 75 right outside to go to Northgate and the 358 runs down Aurora which is just a few blocks away and that goes downtown. The parking will likely be a bit harder once there are people living in all of those units, true.

FYI - Primeval is an ITV production, not BBC. Sorry, I nitpick for a living.

The article said that BBC was part of the funding.

Hrm. What I saw was that BBC America was putting up a hunk of the money. From everything I know BBC America is a different corporate entity than BBC.

Yes, I am here to ruin everyone's fun ;)
