Variety says, the Sci-Fi Channel is developing a new take on Alien Nation. Tim Minear has been hired to write the update of the franchise. The idea is that it will be 20 years later (much like it actually is) and there will have been extreme population growth in the alien population. Man, I loved that show. I fear the Sci-Fi Channel handling it, though.

Hrmmmmm.

I've never watched the show, but I remember references being made of it on Saved by the Bell.

Specifically in that episode where Lisa was trying to hit on this smart guy and...yeah.

:D

Depends. Is it going to be a TV movie? Sci-fi's track record there shows it's worth worrying about. But for a TV series? I wouldn't worry. They have a great track record there. (Eureka, BSG, Stargate series, etc.)

I didn't see one way or the other but the original Sci-Fi thing they did was a TV movie before Fox picked it up as a show.
