So, currently, I have a BluRay player. It is super keen but I have to figure out this Live thing. I haven't investigated just yet.

But, back to topic.

I'm going to minimize my rebuying on BluRay because not everything /needs/ to be super HD. (Though The Dark Knight is gorgeous. Thanks Mom and Dad! The IMAX scenes are soooo pretty.) What do you think is pretty enough to warrant HD?

I'm trying to put together a list. I'm hesitant on older movies since I don't know how much they'll be improved by the experience. For example, I would LOVE to own Temple of Doom on BluRay but I don't know if it would actually help.

Any insights? Thoughts?

We just got the Samsung BD-P2500 on sale as our major Christmas gift. One of the first movies we got to go with it is the new release of Sleeping Beauty that comes with both a BluRay and a regular DVD disc. I was absolutely stunned at how much work they must have done to restore it because it looks amazing on BluRay. The colors are rich and vibrant and everything is crisp and perfect. It's nothing like the washed-out, cropped version they put out in the VHS days.

I'm going to definitely grab some older movies on BluRay through Netflix for the same reason, since I don't want to rebuy everything only to be disappointed.

Awesome. I'll have to snag that.

Thanks!
