10:30-11:30 Marvel and Activision: Stan Lee and Others Discuss the Ultimate Alliance of Super-Heroes— Be a part of the ultimate alliance of fans and listen to the creators and talent behind your favorite Marvel Super-Heroes talk about bringing characters from all over the Marvel universe together in the upcoming action/RPG Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. Panelists include legendary comics creator Stan Lee, Marvel writer and co-creator of the story behind Marvel: Ultimate Alliance C. B. Cebulski, actress Gabrielle Carteris (voice actress for Elektra in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, best known for her role as Andrea on the TV hit Beverly Hills 90210), actor Phil Lamarr (voice actor for Uatu in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, and also known for Mad TV! and Pulp Fiction), VP of interactive at Marvel Entertainment Ames Kirshen, and Activision’s executive producer on Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Adam Goldberg. 10:30-12:00 Lost: Season 3— You won't want to miss this panel with Jorge Garcia (Hugo “Hurley” Reyes) and Daniel Dae Kim (Jin-Soo Kwon) from the cast of ABC’s hit show Lost as they are joined by co-creator/executive producer Damon Lindelof and executive producers Bryan Burk and Carlton Cuse to discuss the new season of Lost. They'll preview excerpts from the Lost Season 2 DVD box set, take questions from the audience, and perhaps even offer some surprises! Room 20

10:30-11:30 Warner Bros. Presents 300— Appearing in person: Creator Frank Miller, director Zach Snyder (Dawn of the Dead), and actors David Wenham (Faramir in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and The Return of the King) and Gerard Butler (Phantom of the Opera; Lara Croft: Cradle of Life). Based on the epic graphic novel by Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, the Spartans’ valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The film brings Miller’s (Sin City) acclaimed Dark Horse graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale. 1:00-2:30 DCU: One Year Greater— With the world in post-Crisis shock, there's a lot of picking up to do. Look into the future of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman—not to mention Green Lantern, Green Arrow, the Flash, and all your other DCU favorites—in this slide-show presentation moderated by Dan DiDio, senior VP/executive editor, DCU, and Bob Wayne, VP, sales. 4:00-5:00 Adventures of Brisco County Jr.— The cult-favorite TV show returns with a screening of a special feature from the Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.: The Complete Series DVD. 5:00-6:30 Sony Presents— Sony Pictures proudly presents a pair of Marvels: The classic Marvel comic Ghost Rider comes to the big screen with Academy Award–winning Nicolas Cage playing Johnny Blaze. Appearing in person to answer your questions and show some previews will be the film's stars Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes and director Mark Steven Johnson. Oh, and did we mention Spidey 3? 7:00-10:00 CBLDF Free Speech Benefit Auction— This is the big one! The CBLDF holds its biggest auction of the year at Comic-Con, and this year offers some amazing one-of-a-kind items to raise money for free speech! Primo items include original art by Jim Lee, Will Eisner, Matt Wagner, Neil Gaiman, Jaime Hernandez, Amanda Conner, Terry Moore, Mark Brooks, and many more. Plus a mind-blowing array of rare signed items, including scripts by Garth Ennis, JMS, and Alan Moore, plus scarce comics and books. The 10:30 slot is a no-brainer: go to the Stan Lee thing. Stan Lee is eight thousand years old and God knows how many more Comicons he'll be around for. Go see the grand old man. For me! :)

Not so much one thing in particular as the combination of a lot of the panels. Sounds cool.

You could probably find a hotel /outside/ San Diego. Everything downtown is ugly. But with a car...? Your options widen. Hell, there are probably rooms at the place we stayed last year and took the trolley in from.
