Wow.

The movie is a love letter to Richard Donner, Christopher Reeve and Superman but it is still very much a Bryan Singer movie.

I really enjoyed it and more in a lasting sort of way than a jump up and down and scream about it way.

I had some issues with it but nothing so glaring that it damaged the movie for me and there was very little that pulled me out of it much at all.

Wow.

That's good to hear. I won't be able to see it until next week (and probably not until the weekend) so that'll get me excited.

There are some things that might bug average comic fans but Watchtower people will have little problem with. Heh.

Fun and joy. Did you manage to get any sleep last night? I know you said you were having trouble.

Some. Getting in at 1:30 from Superman helped.

So the secret is to wear you out so much you don't care? ;)

....wow, that could be taken totally the wrong way.

I love me some blockbuster films!

I'm desperately avoiding spoilers for both this and POTC II. A group of 15 of us are taking over the local IMAX theater for Superman on Friday. Whee!

Then NEXT Friday, I have actually persuaded 20 grown adults to dress as pirates for a Friday night showing of POTC II. One of them is bringing a plank and a fishy patterned shower curtain to the theater. Heh heh. I can't wait!

I'm avoiding spoilers for Pirates. I'd been a bit spoiled for Superman but it didn't bug me. I really liked it. A lot.

I have yet to see anyone say they hated it. This makes me very optimistic about the film. I only wish Singer could've done X3 and THEN Superman. *sniff, sniff*

Well, Fox is stupid because it isn't like he didn't ask.

True. The really sad thing is that Fox was right. We fans heard it was going to suck and we all went to see it anyway. X3 had record ticket sales for that opening weekend.

It'll kick them in the ass on DVD sales. A lot of movies make more money from DVD's than they do from tickets. I don't plan on buying X3, nor do I know anyone else who does.

Fox screws over anything with a truly fan fanbase. It is that way and the sooner we learn it the sooner they'll stop screwing us over.

I think Superman is creepy and Lois Lane has titanium bones.
