The repairs to Tracer X would cost more than the car itself.

Wheeeeee. So, we'll see where we go from here. Tracer X runs just fine. I just need to get the tail light fixed, really.

and you might check local junkyards to see if you can get a taillight assembly on the cheap.

well, if his insurance is covering any repairs, then they'll probably have you get quotes from insurance-approved auto fixers. Though I'm not sure how they'll handle just covering part of what needs to be repaired.

Well, I don't know. We'll see. He asked that I get a quote, I got a quote. I called and let him know, so I think this is in his court. I mean, if they'll pay to have the car fixed, I'm all for that but the repairs are more than the cost of the car.

I shall see what happens. There are ceratinly other things on the car I could have fixed to make it live longer.
