I am triumphant!
Sep. 12th, 2005 08:05 amI walked to work this morning.
I learned a few things on my lovely walk to work this morning.
It takes a little less than an hour for me to walk a little more than two miles. This is better than I was expecting and definately better than I was expecting without music. Yes, I can make the walk without music but only if I can get into the zone where I'm not really conciously thinking about things as I walk. That's not quite right... There is this daydream sort of place I can go where I'm still aware of my surroundings but not as aware as I normally am. Because that walk would be boring.
My ankles hate me. My left more than my right. I still blame kendo. My lungs hate me too. I'm calling for an appointment today. I noticed that when I breathe in the morning there is a faint crackling noise to it. That's not good. Really not good. So, though the coughing has gotten better, the breathing has gotten worse. So. Doctor time. Yeah! (I love doctors.)
There are lots of cool houses on 14th.
I'm not walking back but I should be able to do this every morning without too much hassle. I woke up before my alarm clock went off so, I have a good idea of how much sleep I need now, as well. It's less than 8 hours by my internal clock. A bit closer to 6.
