So. I'm a slacker.
Aug. 18th, 2005 08:32 amHere is a real entry for once.
I've taken to jumping rope in the morning before leaving the house. This has caused me to realize that my left ankle is much more messed up than I has thought. I have to stretch it out a lot more than I would like and it clicks some. I'm not thrilled with this development.
Also, I'm going to, when I get paid, go shopping for shoes. I'm going to start walking to work in the morning. It's about two miles to work and I have no idea how long that will take me anymore. I used to know but those days are long gone. So.... I'll walk to work. I don't know about walking back yet. Me and hills don't get along so well.
Part of this is to make sure that I don't have the issues I've been having. I've been going to events which need me to be on my feet and to walk a /lot/ recently. And I've been sucking it up. I'm greatful to Sean for being patient with my slow and out of shape self at these events.
Speaking of which... Sean started talking to a girl who looked cool at the airport in San Diego and I joined in and we chatted. It turns out that she now works here. I could probably hit her with something I threw from here.... if I knew exactly where down there she sits. It's pretty cool. (As she said yesterday, "I say people all in black. I knew you were okay to talk to.) I'm going to have to ask her how she gets her hair white like she does. I'm guessing she's a blonde normally and wanted to do something different than go black but... I'll have to ask.
Lion's Gate is supporting Blu-Ray. That makes Sony, Disney, Fox, Paramount, Universal, Warner and Lion's Gate in the Blu-Ray camp.
DaimlerChrysler is among auto makers trying to persuade the U.S. govt. to spend $3-$5 billion on
a roadside wireless data network that would be open for use as a safety tool or for entertainment, diagnostic and other commercial purposes. They want to get cars to start talking to each other as well, thinking that eventually cars will be able to help avoid accidents this way.
If you've read this far, thank you! I'll have another post later about a few things, including an update on the Halloween party (and a call for addresses for invitations again) and what I'm planning on doing this weekend!
