Huh...

Wow. That's pretty cool. I don't have enough money to have my name in a book or a comic book but... It would be pretty cool if I did. A Stephen King book. Man. I could die horribly in a Stephen King book. *grins*

So, the midnight movie at the Egyptian this weekend is Akira. I'm tempted to go.

I'm so travelled out. Man. I think about getting into a car to go somewhere and it makes my skin crawl. I don't know if I've ever reached this state before. It's kind of weird. But after San Diego, driving to bellingham for the wedding, driving to visit Mike and Leigh and David and then flying to Dallas and then Chicago and then driving 6 hours and then doing the reverse.... I'm sort of done for the moment.

I have to drive on Tuesday but... I think I can handle that. I hope I'm distanced enough at that point.

And I'm tired. I need to finish reading my comics. I have quite a stack of them. I think I'm going to drop more titles, though. Lots of things just aren't as compelling as I want them to be. Especially since there are some comics I read and they make me happy and excited.... Very much so. The ones that don't stand out more than normal.

I'm thinking about getting Center Ice. Would anyone be up for coming over and watching hockey with me?

I'm converting almost entirely to TPBs. I'll continue buying LSH as individual issues since I'm not sure if a TPB is forthcoming. Everything else: TPB.

I'm buying more TPBs myself, actually but there are things that are happening, especially in DC, that /are/ exciting me and I do love them and I don't want to wait for a year to read them. It's just some of it doesn't interest me at all anymore.

I've slowly slid away from the contemporary Marvel and DC universes. If Firestorm is ever compiled into a TPB, I'll be all over that. Other than that....

Marvel's Ultimate line, OTOH, rocks my socks.

I like some of the Ultimates. The plot arc that is happening in the DC Universe as a whole right now is starting to take a vague shape in my head and I'm really interesteed in this whole "One Year Later' thing.

Not at the moment. I not sure where to jump on.

I'm reading Queen and Country, what of it there is at this point.

If your comic shop has a decent stock of back issues, start either with issue 1 or the first TPB. I'd recommend the TPB; there's a long wait between issues sometimes.

*nods* I should be able to do that.

Actually, hell, I can do you one better. Send me your e-mail address, and I'll send you the issues that comprise the first TPB. Supreme Power is one of the series that I want to convert to TPB anyway.

Those are the ones! If you want to go that route, Kat, I think I can find a good home for them elsewhere.

Send them to me!

I'll read the later ones by borrowing them from Kris.

You're getting the first twelve issues. Little did I know that the first two trades are out.

I must say that you have a heck of an idea to be killed off in a Stephen King book. It is almost tempting enough to go into debt to make it happen. Who knows what creative, grizzly way you would be offed? Tempting, very tempting.

If you were going to do it, I think you should try to get into a Michael Chabon or Jonathan Lethem book, because then there is a good chance you would end up with kewl super powerz.

Especially in a Jonathan Lethem book.
