DAMN IT!

Okay, I love sharing and all of that and I'm all for the happy, happy - you all know this.

But can a girl have her own birthday party? I'm not asking for much, really.

I just want people to come over and say Happy Birthday and eat cake.

Presents would also be sweet.

For those of you who still don't know, my birthday is on the 16th. The day after the Ides of March and the day before St. Patrick's Day. I will be 24.

After that small outburst, I now figure that I could easily share a party as long as it was really sharing a party and we all got cake with our names on it and presents and stuff.

Sorry. Just had a small moment.

Frustration builds for so long and then at some point you just have to do something, even if it seems really silly afterwards.

This is why I prefer the Stealth Birthday model of life -- when you just don't tell anyone when your birthday is. That way, when you overlap with someone (and you invariably overlap with someone), feelings don't get hurt when they pick their party over yours.

My birthday isn't a huge secret, mind you. I just prefer not to celebrate because I hate being in the spotlight unless I'm running a game.
