Hell has frozen over. George R. R. Martin is going to hit a due date for that book of his. Apparently I just needed to read them sooner. Sorry guys!

Also. Next Friday Mr. & Mrs. Smith comes out. I have a friend in town [personal profile] mizkit promoting her book. (Yeah!) She's interested in dinner and a movie. Anyone else want to go see the sexy with us? I haven't found any show times yet but I'd imagine it'll be at one of the two theaters downtown.

Let me know!

I will believe it when I have the book in my hot little hands.

At this point it is all up to the publisher to get it out there. I think July will be an excellent book month, what with that and a new Harry Potter book.

I think I may die of shock.
*laughs*

Oh, so it's YOUR fault about the Martin books? Sheesh, woman!

Yeah.

I'll take that one. All my fault!

What's [livejournal.com profile] mizkit written? Is she going to be in the Bay Area? (Not that there's not ten million fabulous authors coming to the Bay Area this month already...)

And thank heavens on that Martin update. Now I can start planning for my re-read of the first three books. (Yet another reason I never read Jordan. I'd have to re-read the entire darned set every time a new book came out.)

My first book, URBAN SHAMAN, which is an urban fantasy novel, just hit the shelves. You can read an excerpt from it at my website, http://cemurphy.net. And sadly, I won't be in the Bay any time in the immediate future. Sniffle.

Ooh! I saw that excerpt...it looks really good!

I really like that excerpt.

Though Greenwood isn't all /that/ bad...

True. My mom grew up there, so I got to hear stories of the Seafair pirates walking into unlocked homes and helping themselves to a beer or something while they were on parade. Those were also the times when they would snatch up kids and carry them off to the ship. Sadly, they can't get away with that any more.

In the future I shall pick your brain for good, bad, and better parts of Seattle. :)

Heh. I'm sure amongst our collective bains down here we could come up with whatever you likely need.

WOOHOO! Our national nightmare is over! Martin has finished the damn book!

Amazon has the publishing date as September 27, but any time before that would be cool with me, too.

Originally it was July, so I guess they pushed it out. We'll see what happens.

Tempting to see the sexy...I'll have flown in to Seattle the night before at 10:15pm, provided all goes well, though, so it depends how I'm feeling.

I'd be happy to see you.
