It might bring continuity to the films. I'm not talking about plot continuity, because I don't think Lucas can pull that off given the sheer amount of damage he caused.

HOWEVER, it can bring quality continuity. Go with me on this...

Eppy 1 - Howard the Duck (awful)
Eppy 2 - Underworld (bad, but entertaining enough to ignore the suck)

Eppy 4 - Dog Soldiers (pretty good, especially considering the budget they were on)
Eppy 5 - Spiderman 2 (had a bar to meet with the prior movie, and far exceeded it).
Eppy 6 - Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (not the climactic movie we were hoping for, certainly not as good as its predecessor, but good enough).

Now if Eppy 3 can land somewhere between Underworld and Dog Soldiers in quality, we'll have a steady climax of quality with a muppet filled anticlimax.
