First is first. Queen of Wands is over and that makes me a little sad. It was a great webcomic. It's pretty rare that you can find something that speaks to people and itself that well. Thanks for the laughs.

Now... To transition a bit. Happy birthday to Chris Vrenna.

I did some research yesterday, finding that the new NIN album isn't out until May 3rd but that I could, if i were so inclined, find lame MP3 copies out there. I thought about it... and thought about it an decided it wasn't worth it. I remembered trying to find good Evanesence tracks and that was more trouble than it was worth, really.

This is where my radio station comes in. You see... The End has a tendancy to find things early. The first single isn't suppose to be out until March 21st.

They played it last night. Apparently, they have the whole album.

So, as I was laying in bed this morning, pondering if I should get out of the warmth or not, generally lazing about, it is said they're going to play the new song. I, of course, am thrilled.

The song is call The Hand That Feeds and as I was listening to it, I realized a few things.

The first thing I realize is that I liked this song but even though I liked it, I was experiencing some sort of congantive dissonance.

You see, this song rocks.

Note here that I'm using 'rocks' in a term that more describes a genre than to say it is awesome. I wasn't expecting that. When The Fragile came out there were a lot of people who felt as if the band had gone somewhere strange and unexpected. I thought it was a logical place to go, more experiemental with rythms and layering and.... With this, it is almost all stripped bare. Well... bare for NIN, that is.

So... I liked it... but it was unexpected. It was different in that it was sort of the same, if that makes sense to anyone residing outside my head.

Not that most of you likely give a damn.

And did you hear that one of the members of Korn as quit due to moral conflict, has found the church and is going on a pilgramage to Isreal? Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction, my friends.

Obviously, a copy of the new album must also be sent to S. Korea, just in case it does not get released there same day. Or, at least I was planning to send one that way.

I was also thinking some decent coffee. I don't know how hard it is to get that over there.

I don't know... It would probably have to be ground coffee.

I liked The Fragile too. It could be a bit too soon to judge the whole album after only hearing the first single. Lots of songs on The Fragile sounded nothing like Starfuckers Inc.

Very true. Very true. I'm not judging the whole album, I was just thrown by the sound of it. It is... different. Not that different is bad at all. It just threw me a bit.
