I've avoided the death flu, bronchitis and a few other things at work.

I think I've been thwarted by the cold of a six year old.

Wheeeee.

Ugh. It was worth it though.

You gotta watch out for those kids...the germs they carry are heartier than the ones us "old folk" carry. The last time I went back east, I stayed with a few friends - their 5 year old took a real shine to me, inviting me to get up early in the morning to watch his Elmo videos with him pretty much every morning I was there; little did I know that he was also going to give me the flu he had just gotten over. Nice kid, makes you want to run out and have a dozen or so ;-)

This is goign to sound weird but it was actually kind of nice to be actually sick as opposed to this general bleh for no reason I've been feeling.

You mean, having something you can actually point to, as to the reason why you feel the way you do? It can be re-assuring, if nothing else...rather than not really knowing why.

Yeah. I've been feeling sort of bleh physically... but not really sick. It was like I was always fending something off.
