Some times a little perspective...

It was a very slow weekend and I really, really needed one. I was so stressed out and crazy from work last week that sitting around and not doing much was just about right, even though I kept on trying to find something to do. So, on Saturday, I cooked a roast. On Sunday I woke up thinking it was Monday. I.... I'm adjusting but it takes time, obviously.

One week down, two and a bit to go. I just have to make sure I just don't spend the whole pay check when I get it. I tend to over pay bills when I have money. I have to remember that putting some into savings is valid too.

I get Thursday and Fiday off for Thanksgiving. That's good. I just can't ever really handle coming in that next day when I have a Thursday off. And I think a mini-vacation will do me well.

There are a lot of people out there not doing so well. I wish I could do something to help other than think about and hope for them but there really isn't. So, I'll continue to do that.

We get five days a year. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Labor Day and Independance Day.

Wow another reason to be glad that I didn't change. We get 7 - the 5 you get plus the day after tgiving and a floating extra day to give us an extra long weekend.

Well, I also get 5 personal days to use as I wish and however much vaction I accrue (currently 3 weeks a year with my new job).
