Hey...

It's Monday. It's the 1st.

Both good things. I cannot believe that this year is closing on and end so quickly. It's insane.

The party... well... I think I'll say that the party was good, though I'm seriously thinking about certain things to put in place before New Years. I am not a happy camper when I have people drinking to the point of sick at my parties - for a few reasons.

The plentiful bar is there so everyone can have what they want. It isn't meant to be a challenge, people. Come on.

I hope everyone had a good time. I had a good time for the most part.

What else?

Don't know. You'll hear from me less today. First full day at the new job. I'm expecting to be a zombie this week.

Which reminds me... in a way... Those who want to come see the Incredibles at the Cinerama on Friday - buy tickets now! If you don't have money now and will then, let me know. I can make sure there are tickets for you!

Must run. Work will eat me.

I heard only good things about the party from those I know who went - aside from the sick thing - so apparently it went well!

*grins*

I know it was good for most people and I had some fun and had some good conversation. I just ... the whole sick thing I would really rather avoid.

Did anyone else get sick?

Yaknow, I think having a "bar" and a "bartender" might work better. I'll even bring a book of drinks and volunteer my services if you want, but I expect women to flirt with the bartender! ;-)

Either that, or designate some people as "dry" for the party if they tend to drink too much, and make sure they understand that they are not to be drinking.

If people can't limit themselves, they need to be limited by others in one way or another.

Yeah. We had one other occasion of sickness but it was out of the house.

I was thinking that but rarely does anyone want to be bartender all night long. If I have volunteers for that, that's cool. I've already decided that there are some people who don't get to make their own drinks anymore.

I agree. I think one of these has been taken care of but... Yeah. Most certainly some limitations in place.

I'll do it for New Year's.

Maybe I'll bring y'all a bookcase or something so I can arrange the bottles in a nice manner, bring my book, and get some tips from a work buddy of mine who used to sling booze for a living.

As the regular designated driver for my house, I'll be happy to bartend for at least a while. I think it is more fair to parcel out the chore to more than one person.

Responsible party-goers wait until they get home to get sick.
