Apparently Shawn Ashmore is in the running for Jimmy Olsen. I mean.. Iceman and Jimmy Olsen. Someone will be in comic book movies until the end of time.

There is a huge list of the upcoming Marvel movies and TV projects over here (Thanks Matt, though that's one of the places I normally look.)

John Woo has apparently gone crazy since every other week he has some new project he's a part of. We'll see what gets made and what doesn't. Hopefully that He-man thing gets dropped.

There is a new writer for the Indy movie that will never be. It's okay. You haven't heard of him.

omg, i'm really against movie re-makes--especially movies that are in my favourites category--but as long as they use ZERO CG i think depp would be a GREAT wonka.

It's going to have an interesting flavor no doubt. I love Danny Elfmans music. He was making a study in subtlety in Big Fish, so I want to see what he'll be up to next.

They're not using the original movie as the basis... they're remaking the book. Which I think is just fine... sometimes, that can lead to a totally different movie. Watch the three different version of the Postman Always Rings Twice, then read the book... none are exactly the same story.

Interesting take on the costume. It actually reminds me of the very first Keaton one. The cowl and neck look sorta stiff.

As for Mr. Depp, I think I like the attitude, but I'm not curretnly crazy aobut the shades. He looks like a Coco Chanel model or something :/. His charm will carry it I'm certain.

I'm of the belief that this is a movie that does not need to be made. At all. The first one was perfect, with the screenplay written by Dahl. This is just another example of how Tim Burton's losing his touch. The PLANET OF THE APES 're-imagining' was really disappointing (good monkey make-up does not a good movie make)and here he is doing ANOTHER 're-imagining'. Stick to things like BIG FISH.

We don't need another Wonka...Especially one that looks like Jack the Ripper.
