Who should be Lois Lane?

There are rumored to be six ladies up for the running.

Mischa Barton from "The O.C." - Don't know her work well enough for judgement.

Charisma Charpenter from "Angel" - Interesting choice. I think she could do it.

Mia Kirshner from "The Crow: City of Angels" - Ummmmmm. Maybe?

Evangeline Lilly from "Lost" - Again, I don't know her work well enough.

Natalie Portman from the "Star Wars" prequels - I think she's be great but I don't think it's going to happen.

Keri Russell from "Felicity" - No.

There is a rumor that Brian Singer might be trying to get Kevin Spacey for Lex. It's an interesting idea. Especially since we're going with the Gene Hackman Lex as an established idea. (This movie takes place after Superman 2, apparently ignoring 3 and 4.)

Oh. For those who care - the meeting went well. I can see where I'll have lots of work to do.

Kevin Spacey as Lex??!?!?! WOOTIE! Besides, he and Bryan Singer have that whole Usual Suspects thing going on.

Lois...bah, can we just ignore her? :) Aside from that, I'd say Thora Birch, but that's because I admire her acting chops.

Kevin Spacey as Lex! [fangirlgasm]

I don't think I like any of those choices for Lois, though...

I could handle her as Lois better than I could as Wonder Woman, admittedly.

I agree. She's talented and I think she would fit the role quite well.

Evangeline Lilly doesn't HAVE a career, other than Lost, it looks like. But she's great on that. I could totally see her in the part, more so than any of the others named.

I heartily endorse someone putting Kevin Spacey in more movies, particularly when that someone is Bryan Singer.

I could take a miss on every single one of those women, though. Can't think of whom else I'd pick as Lois, though.

I actually really like the actress playing Lois on "Smallville". She's probably too young for the movie role, though.

basing the continutiy on old movies with different actors seems an odd choice. Sure, they're great movies... but I'd think we'd start again. Guess they just want to skip past the origin, and this is the best way to do it. *shrugs*

The concept is one I think I like. Essentialy in the movie world Superman has been gone awhile (moving in comic book time, essenially) and he comes back... There have been mentions of Zod. Don't know much else.

There have been mentions of Zod.

And there was much rejoicing.

The idea of a Spacey Lex is doubly amusing if you've seen the opening sequence of Austin Powers 3.
