I just didn't have the heart for this yesterday. So.... Today...

TV Shows on DVD has confirmed with Warner Home Video that the Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman TV series, which Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher, is headed for DVD in 2005.

The Hollywood Reporter has that former "The X-Files" star Laurie Holden will play the love interest of The Thing in The Fantastic Four Movie.

There is a lot of Sam Raimi on Spider-Man 3 and other such things.

The Wolverine movie is pretty much confirmed to be happening. They have a writer now. The rumor is that Rogue is going to be going with him, wherever it is he goes in this. Could be interesting. I love the dynamic between the characters in those movies.

Variety says James Bond screenwriter Bruce Feirstein is adapting The A-Team for the big screen. They're going for more of a Die Hard or Leathal Weapon feel.

Variety reports that Jackie Chan has been forced into inactivity due to a spat over the shooting of his latest movie, The Myth, at the historical town of Hampi in India's southern Karnataka state. India's Directorate of Archaeology and Museums ordered cranes and sets to be removed from grounds of the 15th-century Virupaksha temple at Hampi over the weekend, saying the production had not sought permission to film. Helmer Stanley Tong said permission was granted by the Archaeological Survey of India and the Hampi World Heritage Site. But the directorate claims the area is under its jurisdiction.

IDT Entertainment on Monday announced it will complete work on the Christopher Reeve-directed Yankee Irving, an animated urban fable. The company plans to release the film in 2006.

Here is a good interview with Bryan Singer.

If anyone is interested, the description of the Episode III trailer has leaked. I'm guessing we'll see it in November. It's almost tradition. Maybe with The Incredibles? I'm going to go see it. Because I'm an addict. And some part of me still hopes it won't completely suck.

Apparently the director of Bubba Ho-tep says he's interested in making a sequel. I have no idea where that would go or how that would work but I'd be interested in seeing it if it gets made. "Bubba Nosferatu: Curse of the She Vampires" is the rumored title.

John Milius is going to finanace King Conan. I think the movie should be made. That's something I've wanted to see forever - an older, wiser Conan ruling with an iron fist! Or you know... something.

And... I think that's it for now.

If writing X3 was up to me, which, sadly, it is not, I would send Carol Danvers after Rogue as one of the storylines. (In the comic book prequel to X1, Rogue was locked up in a government facility for a while before she escaped and went north to Canada. I would use that as the basis for the gov't knowing about her and sending Danvers, as a bounty hunter, after her.) This would allow Rogue to get the rest of her comic-book power set, which she should get to have, dammit, because everybody else has got their comic-book power sets. Also, it'd be a lovely dynamic between Carol and Logan, 'cause he probably wouldn't remember her. It'd be good.

But even if they don't do that, GOOOOO Rogue and Wolverine! I hope so. *dippy grin* I love their relationship in the movies, too. *beam*

Well, my dear, we have Dark Phoenix things to deal with. While that might be a lovely Wolvering movie sub-plot, I don't see it flying in the whole coming back from the dead sort of movie. Though it would be interesting because Rogue would be over here going, "Help, help, help..." and then everyone would be... "Whoa. Jean. You like... died." And Rogue would show up and be able to fly and everyone would blink and say, "Ummmmm... Where'd you pick that up?" And Rogue would punch someone in the face and say, "Thanks for the help. Bastards."

Or something like that. Vaguely.

Sure, sure, there's the whole Phoenix thing to deal with, but hell, the last movie had three significant plotlines going all at once. I think they could pull it off.

Well. *I* could pull it off, if I got to write it, anyway. :)

Not to diss the Wolvie-Rogue thing in the movies, but...

When Wolverine shows up at the X-Mansion at the beginning of X-Men 2, the embrace he and Rogue share is, to me, a little on the limp side. I liked their interaction in the first movie more.

All I care about is more Magneto. ;)

It is. I noticed that the first time I watched it. It mostly looks to me like she's trying really hard not to touch his skin. I imagine if you'd spent several months with your every touch knocking people out, you'd get a little stiff when it came to hugging people.
