Melissa Ethridge has breast cancer.

Cancer is one of those things that will grab my attention. I can't seem to help it.

It is one thing that will get almost everyone's attention. However, the article said that she was diagnosed in the early stages so there should be a full recovery. In that sense she is fortunate, also she is fortunate in that she does not necessarily HAVE to keep working to afford the treatments. Most people are not as lucky in that respect.

I am sure she will be fine. I am not downplaying the issue, I am just sure she will make a 100% recovery.

Oh yeah. I'm not too worried for her. It's just that whole cancer thing. Always gets my attention.

It is something that will get your attention. There are things you can do to try to not get some illnesses/diseases but cancer is pretty equal-opportunity.
