The clouds are eating the world...

litheraSeriously. Outside the clouds are slowly eating the stadiums and the building I'm in right now. It's cool looking but also slightly creepy.
Before I get into my weekend... A few things to say. Thank you to my roommates for making sure that the mattress got to the lady who came fore it and for making sure Morla got fed. A 'Hello' to all of the new people on my friends list. Ironically they're people I've known a long, long time. Max and Peter - Hi!
This weekend was great. It was amazingly relaxing and just what I needed I feel better than I have in ages. The bus rides were long but I got a lot of reading in and that was good. I haven't had too much bus time for reading in the mornings and the book on Salamis was taking forever to finish. I finished that and the other book I brought with me. (It's always interesting when I feel for characters I'm not sure I'm supposed to sympathize with.)
Hey Mike, that Albertson's we walked to in the freezing cold? It's a supermarket again. Some random name I've never heard of.
I spent time with Steph and Lu and we did girly things. We bought masks from Lush and they are cold. I know they're in the fridge but they're really cold. My skin is sooooo amazingly soft right now, though. There are somethings, when I have money again, that I will have to consider getting so I can wander around with really soft skin all the time. Just hanging out up there was nice. There wasn't really anything we had to do and Steph was very kind as to pay for lots of things for me and I really do appreciate it.
We saw Sky Captain and I have to honestly say that was the most fun I've had at a movie in a long, long time. The setting and back drop are beautifully noir and the story is amazginly pulpy Sci-Fi. It was great fun. Don't think about it too much, because pulp shouldn't be too deep, and sit back and relax. Eye candy for all! I just wish Bai Ling could have gotten a line but I unerstand why she didn't.
Sunday was a little crazy as we rushed around and got me to the bus 5 minutes before it was supposed to leave. Of course, the bus then showed up 15 minutes late. Isn't that the way of the world? I called home and nothing was happening there, so I went to hang out with Justin and Janice. That was very nice. We sat and chatted, watched Speed and Teen Titans and generally hung out. It was really quite pleasant, all in all.
I came home and found an e-mail waiting for me from Holly. I'm really trying not to think about how much I miss her. I hate crying at work and I think I've already done quite enough of it. I think there will be more, though. It's going to take awhile for me to get used to this. At some point I'm going to write about the things this circles around - close friends and connections and things like that. I don't know if I'll share it with people though. I don't know if it is that sort of writing or not.
Still no word from HR about the job. No manager today, either. I have things to do. I must pick up the car and get an emissions test and then finish the paperwork for transfering the license. Some of that this week and some next.
For now, though, work calls.
