I always forget that Bumbershoot is Labor Day weekend until I make plans to be out of town. Dratted three day weekends. They are so convenient for escaping to other places and meeting new people. *shakes a fist in the air*

Ah well. I will just do my best to make sure people go and have a good time and enjoy the music. There is lots and lots of good stuff this year.

In case you were wondering, here is how people voted on the Constitutional ammendment yesterday. So happy both of my Senators are on the 'no' list.

And I have just found my favorite tea in the whole world.

I find it interesting (though not surprising) that Edwards and Kerry abstained from the vote.

I don't think they abstained. I just don't think they were there to vote. I guess that's abstaining but not really.

Congress makes no difference between "not present" and "abstaining," at least on the C-SPAN screens during the vote. It's just three columns - yes, no, and NV.

You should include the link I posted yesterday, so that the people who read your journal and not mine (meaning 90 percent of the people who read your journal) can see the list. Public Enemy!

Yeah. The list is really amazing. Just amazing. I'll post it in a little bit.

Hmmmmmm. I can see why they wouldn't make a diference but... There is one. At least a bit of one.

They'd actually stated that they didn't see a need to come back, as it wasn't going to pass anyways, but that if it did come to a vote on a constitutional amendment, they would both come back to vote no.

How could you keep forgetting Bumbershoot? It's not like the date of the event floats around.

I just don't keep it in mind. It isn't a fixture in my life, really. I've gone and it's been fun but never enough that I'd make sure it was something I'd always go to. This year might have been different but I've already made plans to go visit a friend.
