litheraWell, I can't remember the strange dreams I had last night. I know I had them again because I woke up in the middle of saying something to someone but I can't remember what. Blarg.
Picked up my comics yesterday. Some good, good stuff. Astonishing X-men is quite, quite Joss and yet still very X-men. It made me smile. The new Richard Dragon made me smile. I've heard the complaint that it isn't the Richard Dragon we knew before... It's been ten years (when he trained Oracle) since anyone's seen him. Even in comic books, that's a lot of time. Plenty can happen in that time.
Anyway... My run down of Richard Dragon #1:
Richard Dragon - Internal monologue: I am badass. I am the greatest bad ass ever. *While blindfolded fights two guys. Kills one, breaks the other* Daddy didn't have time for weaklings. I am bad ass. Daddy said love really messed you up. Watch me be the greatest badass ever.
Ben Turner: *shows up* Yo.
Richard Dragon: *nods* Was wondering when you were gonna show up.
Bronze Tiger/Ben Turner: Dude. You're messed up.
RD: Wanna fight for money? We could be super bad ass and make lots.
BT: Man. You are so messed up. Had no idea it messed you up like this.
RD: Wha?
BT: Shiva.
RD: OMGWTFBBQ! *goes a little crazy and tries to hit BT*
BT and RD proceed to smack each other around for awhile. Eventually Ben explains that there are all of these great martial artists who are being evil in Bludhaven and he came to get Richard to smack them down.
RD: No.
BT: C'mon. It'll be like old times. You know. When you, me and Shi.. Sandr... *ahem* When we were the agents of G.O.O.D. and kicked people a lot for all of the right reasons. There are seven of these people to smack around. *proceeds to name six*
RD: Okay. I'll go with you. Who's number seven?
BT: Shiva, duh. Everyone wants to see you two in a fight. It'll be... ummmm... Yeah. Nevermind.
So.... Yeah. My morning. I love it when I get all high profile all of a suddent around here. Time to get back to that.
