This week is an excellent haul with Wonder Woman (Wow, Veronica is messed up), Robin, Spider-Man and so on...

... but next week. Next week will be so lovely. Birds of Prey - Canary's answer to Shiva, Batgirl - Batgirl vs Batman and WildCATS - with supah Zealot action.

There are times comics are fun and there are times where the story lines are just pure crack.

Do you hate me? I need to know because I am making a list of people who hate me. Thanks.

I had been getting Fathom before Turner broke off and did his own company. They were getting really good and then the just got all disjointed and weird with the offshoots like Killians Tide. It's that "Meanwhile, in an only veaugly related character plot..." that turned me away from comics. I'm not a suspicious enough person to guess character motivation unless it's shoved under my nose, I guess.

Or I'm not reading the right comics.

Heh. I should lend you the most recent arcs of Wonder Woman and Birds of Prey.

The most recent comics of any substance that I read were Turners little miniseries of Superman. Boy, that was a headspin. Great page layouts made it possible for me to peice togather what was happening. Except at the end with his alien girlfriend...

There is that intuitive part of comics I havn't been able to get into yet.

*nods* I understand. I'll see what I can do about getting you these two most recent arcs. Or Kyna could lend you the most recent Nightwing arc. Good stuff there too.

What do you mean? I don't read either of them but I could give you a run down, generally.

Comicy goodness

Superman/Batman was also good... or not. I'm not quite sure what to make of it yet. I was half frustrated by Loeb's untranslated use of Kryptonian. But then, well, the inner geek in... wait, who am I kidding. 'm all geek. I loved that about the issue.

Robin was also, surprisingly, rather good. Like, smart and good. I was shocked. I actually liked the issue.

Teen Titans. Continues to be excellent. I want to write a Superboy title now more than ever. >_<

Superman: Secret Identity. People should be reading that. :P

Fantastic Four. The ending... so didn't do it for me. I was let down. But still, this was far better than anything else out by Marvel this week. ;)

I did pick up a title from last week that I think everyone should read. She-Hulk. I was shocked at how good that was. I'm going to collect that now. :)

*waves*

Superman/Batman was surprisingly good. I had been considering dropping it since the inner monologue stuff was driving me crazy. There was just too much of it. I really liked Supergirl, though. She's neat, so far. The Kyrptonian was sweet.

I love Teen Titans this issue, I just would have liked a little more to each of the sections of storyline. Not enough pages in the book.

Green Arrow

Ah... sorry. That title could be so much better than what it is. Maybe I'm the only one who remembers the Mike Grell days, and wishes the title was still something like that. Mature, real and not so... Winnick.

It is a little slapstick but you know, I'm okay with that. It has dark moments but I really like Ollie in this. Sure, I wish it were darker but I don't think it needs to be.... yet.

Feh, the only books I was collecting with any regularity was "League of Ex. Gents", "Age of Bronze", and "Lucifer", but there is no comic store in Smallville.
