Okay. I wasn't sure on seeing this one but the trailer sold me on it.

All it needs is robotic ninja assassins armed with staplers! ;)

I like the guy playing Phileas, and Jackie Chan as Passepartout, while inventive, is spiffy enough to sell me on it.

However, I must not read the book (my favorite Jules Verne after 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea) until after I have seen the movie, evidently. I loved both Nemo and Fogg for their Holmesian demeanors, and this Fogg is... well, I can't see him as obessed with train tables or as cool and collected as the "real" Fogg was. Also, why the heck were they in Austrailia? (I think that's what I heard them say.)

I miss the Indian love interest. Of course, i can't remember her name, so whatever.

I do think that Fogg (whoever he is) works well with Jackie Chan.

I don't know if that is where they were or not. I don't remember Australia. *shrugs*

They've made it a little silly and I'm okay with that.

Holy..

I think that if I can convince my brain that it's not even close to the actual story, then I'll enjoy it. It certainly appears amusing.
