Some days it is much more interesting being a Saftey Czar than others.

I got to make a 911 call today.

Wheeeeee.

Watching the EMTs do their job is interesting.

Heh. No. Guy in my office who tore up his knee and has blood clots because of it was having chest pains and shortness of breath.

Wow, I wish you were Safety Czar at my old job. I had pain in my arm and a racing heart and chest pains and the owner was just like 'Well see if you can stick it out, because we might get a rush.'

That's crazy. Anyone trained in CPR knows that chest pain, shortness of breath = 911 call.

Well in this instance it turned out to be just me having slept funny on my arm and made my shoulder/upper arm sore, plus a pre-existing racing heart condition. But the constant stress of the job is what caused said condition to reappear after being dormant for years and years, so. Yeah. Horrible job, but I'm fine.

I've got a friend that calls EMTs 'bunsies' because she claims that they are all buff young men and those coveralls really show off the buns.

But, yeah, good idea to call the 911 folks. Sounds exciting, in a totally stressful kind of way.
