Potential spoilers. It depends on how picky you are.

1. That movie kicked my ass more times in three hours than should be legal. I haven't been up and down so hard so fast since I went to the amusement park.

2. Legolas is the most bad ass ever. This is very, very, very, very closely followed by Eowyn. Then comes so many other people, I don't know where to start.

3. Dead armies are awesome. In the original sense of the word.

4. So are giant eagles. Who would have thought?

5. I bawled for the last fourty minutes.

6. Shelob. If spiders scare you there might be a whole 10 - 15 minutes of the movie you want to walk out of the theater for. Everyone was squriming. SCARY.

7. Infantry < Cavalry. Cavalry < Heavy Cavalry. Remember this.

8. Always remember to look up.

9. Gandalf has been holding back in previous martial confrontations.

10. There are so many, just so many great expressions on characters faces in the foreground and the background. So much said without words - especially the elves.

It isn't a perfect movie and I can see where they cut things out, especially after seens both extended editions right before. The cuts become a little more apparent. That doesn't matter, though. I love this movie. I want to see it again. I want to see it again tomorrow. I'd have stayed to watch it again right then if I could have.

This movie will own you. And you. And just freaking all of you.

I haven't had a day this good in a long, long time. My throat is sore and I am still buzzing. I have to get up in about 4 hours to go to work. It was more than worth it.
