FARSCAPE!! - Apparently what is being made is a 4 hour mini-series wrap up. Pre-production is underway.

There is a very pretty picture of Angelina Jolie as Olympia in People magazine.

Robert Rodat has been tapped to write a movie about the Olympics - Ancient Greek. The plot sounds insipid and will likely be one of many movies trying to tap into the resurgance of interest in Classical settings.

Disney has put its most recent 2-D animated picture on hiatus - likely moving towards canceling it. I really hope Disney doesn't kill its 2-D animation all together, though that's what its starting to look like.

Some wacky casting rumors: Captain America - Val Kilmer, Superman - Christian Coulson (Tom Riddle in Harry Potter), Lois Lane - Natalie Portman

Kids' WB! has begun promoting its 2004 shows, including the Static Shock episode featuring Batman Beyond.

The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe movie is possibly going to be titled "The One Hundred Year Winter", which is fitting. Though that may be some sort of codename for it.

Apparently Halle Berry says that Jinx is still up for the making in USA Today. If it is, someone else is making it.

I must remember to get the new Wonder Woman this week. It looks good. The quote Thor from CHUD: "After the release of her book “Reflections,” Wonder Woman’s life is beginning to unravel. Everything Diana does is open to interpretation. Ares and probably one of the most intriguing characters ever, Dr. Veronica Cale, very well know this. Reeling from the public backlash inflicted by Ares, Diana turns to her friends and realizes that they literally are not there for her. Is Ares behind this as well? A storm is coming and the gods and one of WW’s oldest and dearest friends are bringing the thunder."

Maybe if they chose non-crap for their 2d animation, then Disney might be more likely to keep it around...

*shakes head*

Somewhere, about three months ago, I read an article about how Eisner pretty much fired 90% of the 2D staff, leaving a skeleton crew around to finish up Brother Bear and the next piece of animated crap that Disney is going to put out next year. After seeing the success of all the Pixar films, Eisner had come to the conclusion that "2D animation is dead (sic)" and that all anybody wants to see is is 3D animated venues now, which is why they're tying to court all the animators from Pixar into their own in-house 3D studio.

Yeah. I'd heard something like that too. Pixar is leaving Disney and Disney has signed on some other company to try to fill their shoes. The Incredibles is the last thing Pixar is doing with Disney and than they're going out on their own, or so it seems.

It's a shame that this is the route they've chosen to take.
