Morning thoughts...
Nov. 6th, 2003 08:36 amNow that I've had time to think about it, I think a chunk of the 'more' I was expecting out of Reloaded was, in fact, in Revolutions. I still wish there had been some further ground covered but I think I might be looking at it wrongly. I was waiting for them to present me with something new, some idea I hadn't had before. Instead they presented me with a bunch of ideas I had, had before in a beautiful format, stringing them all together. It would make a marvelous jumping off point for a great number of things - trains of thought.
I want to watch all three of them together at some point and see if I pick up on anything else. That's another part of the loveliness of it. There is so much in there, no one and nothing is there just for show - everything seems to have a purpose - that everyone can come away with something. There is religion, there is philosophy, there is pop culture.... Enough for everyone.
So. Yes. I liked it. I want to do some more thinking about it. And that's all I could ask of a movie like that one. (Y'know, beyond the pretty and super cool.)
This, of course, means I'll need a new icon. At some point. When I find the pic I want.
