Wow... Entertainment.
Oct. 17th, 2003 09:03 amSomeone is making an Evangelion game. Now I can't read nearly enough Japanese to understand what the heck is happening here, but I think it could be totaly awesome to play.
Joss Whedon says not to bet on there being Buffy on Angel this season. It would be nice but it doesn't seem like it will happen. It is much more likely that there will be Willow-ness.
Saw more Catowman photos. Not going to post links. I didn't realize those open toed shoes were spike heels before, though. (sigh) Halle says that in their mythos there have been nine Catwomen, leaving room for, you know, the ones that kick ass.
It's the tenth Anniversary of The Nightmare Before Christmas!
Gore Verbinski has agreed to direct Pirates of the Caribbean 2, for Walt Disney Pictures and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Pirates of the Caribbean writers Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott are back on board to pen the sequel. So, that pretty much makes everyone back.
X-Men: Evolution concludes its fourth season on Kids' WB! the next two Saturdays with "Ascension," a two-part episode that culminates the Apocalypse saga and figures to be among the series' most memorable episodes. There is no word on a fifth season. (I cannot wait to see who Apocalypse picks as his Four Horsemen. I would pick Logan, Wanda, Mystique and Magneto, personaly.)
Ultimate Black Cat anyone? Mmmmmmm.
DC Comics on Thursday announced new printings for Teen Titans and Superman/Batman. Teen Titans #1 Fourth Printing and Superman/Batman #1 Third Printing both are scheduled to arrive in stores on Nov. 5.
The "Green Loontern" episode of Cartoon Network's Duck Dodgers premieres Saturday at 11:30 a.m. (ET). Filmmaker/comics writer Kevin Smith provides the voice of Hal Jordan.
This version of Arthur will be interesting. And wow does she look cool.
I totally agree with this guy here about the Lord of the Rings marathon. I know plenty of people who would love a shot at going to do this.
Interactive Pirates? Dude. I am so doing this. Not tonight for the people who haven't seen it before, but... This is awesome. I want to do this. Maybe when I get the DVD.
As a total side note, it tickles me that the little picture in the corner of CHUD's website is The Bard's Tale. Anyone else play that game?
JMS says there may very well be another Babylon 5 movie on the way. (TV movie? Movie, movie? Don't know.)

What's with the zippers on the top - they don't seem to go anywhere.
Didn't think anything could be worse than Batman & Robin - always love being proven wrong.

Date: 2003-10-17 07:44 pm (UTC)Let me try and remember how to read Japanese...
"What would you like to do in the world of Evangelion?"
"In this game, if you wish it and do it, you can achieve all of your desires."
(Damn, that is a shitty translation. Oh well, I can understand it. I can't tranlate it that well..)
"You are free to aim for whatever you want."
"What kind of things can you do in your everyday life? Study at school, have a meal with someone. Lose yourself in thought over someone, fall in love. Spend your time immersed in learning how to pilot your A.T. Get in the way of someone who desperately needs to get to the restroom. Give a present, receive a present. Confined in the world of one person. Hold hands with the object of your desire. Be rebuked with 'please don't touch me.' These, and many more experiences await you."
Ok, that was not a good translation, but you get the idea. The first part describes it as a game told from the perspective of your character in his own life. You can do with your daily life whatever you want to.
Then I got to lazy to read the rest of the page...
Damn those paragraph long Japanese sentances.

Date: 2003-10-20 08:32 am (UTC)Yeah, it was mentioned that there were Evangelion games before this but I've never seen one, so this can be my first amount of fun here.
Galvatron, hey? Never my favorite but still an excellent choice if I must say so.

Tell me how the game goes, if you end up getting a copy.
