Oct. 1st, 2003 10:30 amRidley Scott (Gladiator) and 20th Century Fox are preparing the Crusades-era epic Kingdom of Heaven for a January production start in Morocco. Set in the 12th century, the drama focuses on a young blacksmith who becomes a knight and helps defend Jerusalem against the Crusaders. There is also a love story, as the young knight falls in love with a princess. Who they want to cast in that role is pretty obvious to me.
Smallville starts tonight and apparently this episode is not the greatest but it is also part one of a two part deal, so taking it alone is damaging to it. They're still trying to get Batman. Desperately. "We'd love to get Bruce Wayne," says Gough. "But it's a constant battle to get through the AOL Time Warner matrix."
There isn't much hype around The Alamo, but I think it's going to be a good movie. In today's political climate this could be very interesting.
LA Times says Pixar's first post Disney project in 2006 will be "about a rat named "Ratatouille," who lives in a fancy Parisian restaurant."
Logan's Run: This is the big sci-fi project remake which Bryan Singer is rumoured to be attached to. Could be interesting. Could be horrible.
LOTR: Return of the King has an offical run time of 3.5 hours.
And Brad Pitt just looks like he should, I think.
