Wow. Cold.

It was cold this morning. My temp thing on the computer said 49. Cold enough I didn't want to get out of bed, really. I turned on some of the heather but then turned them off when they smelled of burning hair or something just as lovely. I'll see if that is something that goes away or not later today. I just didn't want things spontaneously combusting or something.

I think the one in my room might still be on. Hmm.

I also need to start getting up earlier again. I don't like getting here to work when I am. On the brighter side, though, today will be an excellent comic book day. Completely awesome comic book day. Mmmmmmmmmm. I might even go at lunch to get them.

It is a good comic day!

Trying to figure out how to get to Jim's, the Post Office AND scuba air all in one trip . . .

It would be easy if everything was close to each other.

Actually, they could be, but I didn't bring the right dive tank with me today. Damn.

Like I said, as it is, I'm going to probably run down during lunch instead of after work.

Holy Brr Batman!!!

I get my comics at Golden Age in the Market. For a box Xanadu wanted me to buy copies of Previews too and I really didn't want to.

What am I reading? Mostly DC right now, since the X-men are just bad. Though I'll have to pick up a copy of the newest one just so I can laugh a lot. I read a ton of Batman. Reading The Amazing Spider-Man.

The list is long.

Wow I didn't know that people used the market store as their real store. I use The Dreaming (nee Corner Comics II) because it is around the corner from where I used to live in the U District.

I've moved where I live so often that having a comic store near where I lived seemed impossible. I work downtown. My choices were Golden Age or Xanadu. The people at Golden Age were much nicer.

If The Dreaming weren't completely out of my way, I'd go there.

I like The Dreaming in part because that leads to the weekly ritual of walking to New Star and getting some Phad See Eiw and having a thai and comics night.

Ironically, btw, this is a weak week for me. Last week I had about 10 titles though including a new HERO so I was happy.

In my experience, heaters usually stink when they're first turned on in the fall. I think it's from the dust that's built up over the warms months. After a little while the dust burns off and the smell passes.

I thought that might be it but I wasn't really sure.
