litheraI picked up The Vampire Lestat to read this morning. I'd forgotten how much I loved this book. Interview was a struggle - I liked it but I doubt I'll ever read it again. This book, well Lestat slides out of the pages and into the back of my head with little effort. It's nice to have a mental image of the places in New Orleans he's talking about. Holly and I stayed almost exactly where he described himself sleeping. Huh.
It's so sad that Stuart Townsend could play Lestat when he was playing Dorian Grey but not when he was playing Lestat.
Ah well. In other news I need to go to bed earlier.
Gatekeepers was excellent last night as I had hoped it would be. Lady Gargoyle is dead. It will be very interesting to see how this goes from here.
And again, I love this quote: "This is why only fools are heroes - because you never know when some lunatic will come along with a sadistic choice. Let die the woman you love....or suffer the little children. Make your choice, Spider-Man, and see how a hero is rewarded."
Mmmmmm.
